Market Deeping

Market Deeping is a charming market town located in the north bank of the River Welland. The town is hundreds of years old, dating back to around 1220. It has quite a rustic appeal especially with the prominent 17th century stone buildings in the area, as well as the 15th century original church dedicated and made in honor of St. Guthlac.

The town is considered part of South Holland and The Deepings Parliamentary Constituency. Its income is based on purpose built business centers.

For education, the town has two primary schools, namely the Market Deeping William Hildyard CE Primary School and the Market Deeping Community Primary School. Religion also has a place in the town. For this, we have the Market Deeping Diocese of Lincoln Anglican Church and The Catholic Church for St. Mary and Guthlac. There are also churches for Methodists and Baptists.

One can say that Market Deeping is improving especially since at the present, it can offer amenities such as The Deeping Stage Hotel, some local pubs, and two supermarkets.

The locals, may it be young or old and men or women, are also into sports such as football, rugby, and skating.
