The town has a connection with history as well. This is evident in the Anglican Church located in the area, which is the largest church in the whole of the Deepings. The church has intricate Norman and Early English qualities, as well as perpendicular styles. The village also had a lock up in the 18th century.
As of the present, the community has evolved and has made a few changes. There are now primary and secondary schools. One school is known as the Deepings School.
The area also has three public houses, restaurants and take-away, house care provider, and a few computer system companies.
