South Holland is a local government district located in the county of Lincolnshire. Its council is based on the city of Spalding. The district is located north of the county of Cambridgeshire, west of “The Wash”, and south of the Borough of Boston.
It has a population of around 88,400 in 2001 and must have grown after 13 years. Majority of the people in this area confirms their religion as Christianity. Also, the place has a low unemployment rate.
The district is characterized by distinctive fenland landscape. Due to this rural aura, the place is more focused on agriculture, horticulture and food processing. Its main market towns include Crowland, Holbeach, Long Sutton, and Sutton Bridge.
