As commemoration of the 240th anniversary of the birth of the renowned explorer and navigator, Matthew Flinders, there will be a walk event for him at his birth place, which is Donington located at Boston.
Matthew Flinders joined the navy at the age of 16 and sailed to the land of Australia on the year 1800. He was the one who named the wonderful land Australia.
The walk distance is 6 miles, starting from the Matthew Flinder’s Statue established at the market place. Moreover, the walk ends on the same place, which is the Donington Market Place.
