Stickney is a small linear village and civil parish found in the East Lindsey district of the county. The community is approximately 13 kilometers north of Boston, 16 kilometers south-east of Horncastle, and the center of the Lincolnshire Wolds.
It has a few amenities including a public house named The Rising Sun. it also has a small railway as well as a post-office and in part a general store. There is also a small fish and chips shop for snacks. The village also has a little parish dedicated to St. Luke.
Moreover, there are schools in the village including the William Lovell Church of England Academy as well as a Stickney Primary School. For communication of a sort, the village has a transmitting station and has its own monthly magazine.
